Easy DIY Fall Lantern

A cute little upcycle project an easy DIY Fall lantern you can make with a 2 liter bottle and solar lights for the garden or walkways.

Can be used in a planter, hang or make enough to light up your entire autumn walkways.

Supplies Needed:

one 2 liter soda bottle

glue gun and glue sticks

solar garden light

paint yellow, orange or white craft paint

small paint brush

Jute twine

thicker rope ~ nautical jute twine sold on amazon

Directions:

clean plastic bottle and remove the labels

cut bottle to the desired size about 6-7 inches from the mouth of the bottle

paint the top half with a fall color

then cut the larger rope twine and wrap it 3 times around the bottle (as pictured) and glue down with hot glue

run solar light through the large opening of the bottle down through the mouth of the bottle

secure the solar light to the bottle with hot clue

using smaller twine string wrap the twine around the base of the solar light and hot glue down

let dry and it’s ready!
